Rolleiflex Franke Heidecke Carl Zeiss Planar 1:3,5 75mm DBP 1753630 DBGM Camera.1761187 Carl Zeiss Planar Lens.Estate find. Very nice vintage condition (see pics). No cracks on lenses.

Relatively early S/N 306847. Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:3.8 f-7.5cm.

Focusing is smooth. Shutter speeds down to 1/10 work, and are not always consistent. 1/2, 1 sec and B hang up.

1/25 and faster seem much more consistent and reasonable. Aperture adjustment moves easily. Viewfinder hood opens and closes as it should. Taking lens shows no damage but does have some haze – not a surprise for an 80 year old lens. Most of us over 65 have a bit of haze in our lenses.

Viewing lens is Heidoskop-Anastigmat 3.1/7.5cm. It looks to me to have a little haze just behind the front element. Still able to easily focus.

Red window is intact, latch works well. The images show the leather has come off one side of the camera – tilt it away from the front while on display. Ready to shoot!

This Rolleiflex is in astounding condition. This has been fully overhauled and CLA’d with Maxwell Bright Screen Split Image installed by master Rolleiflex Technician Harry Fleenor and it performs flawlessly ($705 value).

Shutter speeds, film transport, aperture settings, focus knobs all operate perfectly. The taking lens has no separation, scratches, fungus, haze, or oil on aperture blades. Harry said that this has one of most perfect 3.5F lenses he has ever seen. The viewing lens has no separation, fungus, haze, or oil but does have a view scratches that I haven’t been able to see.

Rolleiflex Value

(Harry mentions them in the CLA documentation, I haven’t been able to see them). The camera includes the original lens cap, leather rollei case, and new rollei strap.
